Der Bereich Geografischen InformationsSystem (GIS) der Stadt Biel/Bienne betreibt das Geoportal sei es für den öffentlichen als auch für den internen Bereich. Seit Frühling 2022 ist die Plattform auf MAP+ Basis im Aufbau. Für den internen Bereich sind umfassende Anwendungen für die Datenpflege und -erfassung geplant.
