Plotting to Scale
Most programs allow you to plot your map at a certain scale.
However they lack of the capability to be able to choose a certain paper size simultaneously! Such daily
tasks can become a real pain. The good news is that GeoAS MapPLOT
handles that- with one simple dialogue box. WYSIWYG Plotting!
"What you see is what you get": The plot is created
according to what you actually see in front of you. This means,
that if you zoom in to a certain level, i.e. 200 meters, but
plot a large map with a size of i.e. 5000 meters, the zoom
setting of a window size of 200 meters are used. This is very
useful, as you do not have to change any zoom settings for
different scales you want to plot. Just zoom to the level
you desire and go!
Plotting using Layouts
Do you often have to plot your maps using your company
standard forms and layouts? For example a section of a map in a
1:1'000 scale with your company stamp and logo?
The GeoAS MapPLOT module offers you all these capabilities.
You can pre-define as many layouts for any paper size you will
ever need and use them day by day to plot your maps efficiently.
Serial Plots
The same standard forms and layouts can be used to perform
automatic serial plots based on any MapInfo Query such as SQL.
This functionality is simply amazing!
Example: You select all parcels with a specific attribute
(such as all parcel owned by the same person). After that you
can automatically create MapInfo Layouts e.g. on a letter size
paper, in a scale 1:1000 as shown in the image below.
REMARK: GeoAS MapPLOT requires MapInfo Professional.
